Red Funnel Easter Challenge

About to enter its 13th year, this popular annual regatta is sponsored by Red Funnel Ferries and organised by the Royal Ocean Racing Club primarily as a 'warm-up' for the forthcoming offshore season.

Racing takes place over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend in the Central Solent on short courses designed to emphasise crew work and boat handling. One of the features of the Red Funnel Easter Challenge is the free coaching provided by the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) using their professional coaches.

After a day out on the water, a full social programme rolls into action with Easter Eggs given at the prize-giving ceremonies each evening at the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club, the Island Sailing Club and the Royal London Yacht Club.
