PRIDE - SYDNEY 40 ONE DESIGN.
The Sydney 40 made its mark on the world of international yacht racing even before the first of the class was launched. This superbly designed and crafted 41-footer was chosen unanimously above ten other powerful contenders to become a new one-design class racer for the Champagne Mumm Admirals Cup 1999 the worlds premier ocean racing event.
Pride was in the winning Dutch Admirals Cup Team in 1999 and was 3rd in the High Performance Class in Cork Week 2002 under charter. Another Sydney 40 Bull won the Classic "Trans-Pac" Ocean Race from San Francisco to Honolulu.
"Its a state of the art, supercharged, one design Grand Prix racer that can be very competitive under a variety of international measurement rules." Iain Murray says of his Sydney 40 design.
