"I-Site wins sprint"
- David Pelly. (The Daily Telegraph) Saturday August 11, 2001.
ROBBIE Cameron-Davies rounded off an impressive Cowes Week by winning the principal trophy of the day, the Rocking Chair Trophy, in his new Ker 11.3 I-Site, whose sister-ship, On a High, finished second overall in the combined Classes 0 and 1.
It was certainly a demanding day for the big boats such as the three 12-metres, Australia II, Italia and Crusader, who in tricky conditions could not build up a defendable lead over the smaller boats.
Later, a westerly sea breeze settled in and gradually increased in strength to about 20 knots to give everyone a spectacular dash home to Cowes. This was just what the lightweight fliers had been hoping for and I-Site, rigged to sail with either conventional or asymmetrical spinnakers, could sail downwind better than most.
